PCN Immunisation Roadshow Programme 2026
Please note that the programme is still being finalised. Timings and details are subject to change as plans are confirmed.
We will examine what leads to MMRV infections and the measures being taken in the UK to prevent these diseases.
Vaccine hesitancy has become significant public health challenge since COVID-19. In the UK, it is seen to impede the widespread acceptance of national immunisation programmes. Linked to concerns about safety, misinformation and a lack of trust in authorities, vaccine hesitancy has been found to be more prominent in some communities than in others. It can also vary by vaccine. This talk will look at the evidence of how to address vaccine hesitancy in your day-to-day practice and the effective interventions for creating vaccine acceptance.
This session will consider the role of vaccination in pregnancy. It will consider the vaccine programmes recommended for pregnant women in the UK. The session will discuss the Influenza, Pertussis, Respiratory Syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine programmes and the rationale for protecting the pregnant women, the unborn infant and newborn baby for the first few months of life.
