Jane has dedicated her career to education and governance in travel health, especially in primary care. She has held several leadership roles nationally and internationally, including the RCN and Dean of the Faculty of Travel Medicine, RCPSG 2018-2021. During this tenure, Good Practice Guidance for Providing a Travel Health Service was published, In the New Year Honours List of 2022, Jane received an MBE for services to Training and Development in Travel Medicine. . Jane is passionate about teaching, writing, and creating resources for practitioners, which she shares on www.janechiodini.co.uk and Facebook. Recently she developed digital skills to create elearning.
Helen is an independent nurse consultant and trainer in immunisation. She is an experienced nurse leader with knowledge across a wide range of nursing practice including working for Local Authority teams, and at the Royal College of Nursing as the Professional Lead for public health. Her special interest is in public health an particularly vaccination and immunisation. She also works for various charities as well as holding a senior lecturer position and at the University of Hertfordshire and is the Chair of the Self-Care forum a national charity working across health and wider organisations to further the reach of self-care.
Worked in a variety of travel clinics and occupational health settings in both the private and public sector since 1996. Has been involved in supporting health professionals providing travel health services since 2006.
Catherine has been a consultant in public health for over 16 years working across the NHS, UKHSA and local authorities. She has specialised in immunisations, child public health and healthcare public health. She is also an academic, publishing her public health research since the 1990s.
Dr George Kassianos is a GP National immunisation Lead lor the Royal College or GPs, and President of the British Global & Travel Health Association. He chairs the Pan-European Group RAISE (Raise Awareness or Influenzas Strategies' In Europe - 21 countries) and is a Board member of the European Scientific Working Group on Influenza (ESWI). In October 2020, Her Majesty the Queen appointed Dr Kassianos Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBEJ Jn Her Birthday 2020 Honours list, for his services to General Practice and Travel Medicine.
Qualifying as a nurse in 1985 Dean specialised in critical care. He trained as a counsellor gaining an MA in Psychoanalytic Studies. He moved into Sexual Health focussing on Blood Borne Viruses, particularly HIV. Dean was asked to write and lead on a HIV training program for the UN in India. This experience started a long association with capacity building at community level. Subsequently Dean has worked with Mildmay, CDC and Medicine Sans Frontieres in Eastern Europe and across Africa. In 2012 he was Awarded Gasto Nurse of the Year for his work on capacity building in underserved communities. For the last two years Dean has worked in Public Health focussing on Immunisation and Vaccinations particularly Vaccine Hesitancy.
